Red Bull Raod Rage

Last weekend, under a bright yellow sun, a spectacular race took place on the Côte de la Redoute in Remouchamps: the participants didn’t had to climb the steep hill during the Red Bull Road Rage but they had to descend the hill as quickly as possible.

Eighty amateur-flandriens from 5 different countries were lined up at the start of the Red Bull Road Rage, determined to prove themselves to be the best cowboy on the asphalt. Encouraged by an enthusiastic crowd, these daredevils made their way down on the steep and slippery asphalt. With a length of 1.804,46 yards, a difference in height of 176,07 yards and a rise of up to 20%, this classic from the cycling race Liège-Bastogne-Liège is a formidable hill.

The competitors raced against the clock in series of four until in the end only the four fastest cyclers remained for the final. Janof Kohler from Ireland won and is the first Red Bull Road Rage champion. He went home with a brand-new Ridley-bike.

The recordings (Frederik Dusesoi) of the Rage were made by 7 Videohouse camera crews on XD cam HD. We used 4 onboard HD 1080i cameras and a 19,69 feet crane. On the same day a newscut was edited (editor: Dries Lemmens) and following their demands sent to our customers. Dries also edited a webclip and the highlights.

Videohouse made these recordings for 24Seven.
